The Jason Varitek Quest for 1,000: #950 (And a Fisk Cameo)

Who is the best catcher in Red Sox history?  I am not sure that is a controversial question.  Both of the top contenders appear on this card, but it is quite clearly Carlton Fisk who wins.  Varitek does have him beat though in some major categories, mostly as a result of simply playing in more games than Fisk.  But of course there is that one major thing: Fisk is a Hall of Famer, Varitek only received two votes. 

This is a very nice card of the two Red Sox catching legends.  It is definitely not the only one out there though.  It just makes sense to put these two together.

    Tek may have only gotten two votes, but that "C" on his uniform and rings on his fingers make him every bit as loved as Pudge! Great card!
