Big League and Bowman Breaks

Up next are a couple of breaks in one day.  I never was quite able to get much in the Big League breaks, so I tried again.  Bowman was much more successful, but I tried it again anyway.

Up first is the Big League break:

1.  Chris Sale.  Sale SHOULD be healthy coming in to 2023.  He looked good in his short stint in 2022 and had some good moments in 2023.  I do not know if he will ever again be the ace he was, but if he can stay healthy, he should still be valuable.

2.  Rafael Devers.  It was announced today that Devers came to terms on his contract for 2023, avoiding arbitration.  It's a small step, but hopefully it will lead to an extension.

Up next is Bowman:

3.  Nick Yorke.  Yorke was a surprise first-round pick by Boston in 2020.  It was a widely criticized move and some analysts said they did not even have Yorke in the top 100 prospects in the draft.  Boston saw something in him though and he has shown the potential to have an advanced hitting tool and a great eye at the plate.  He had a rough season in 2022 after a terrific 2021 season, but rebounded in the Arizona Fall League.  Yorke is currently a top five prospect in the system.
