Mailday Roundup Linsanity

A couple of packages came in today.  Not many cards, but I am pleased with what I have here.
1.  2018 Topps Allen & Ginter World Talent Tzu-Wei Lin.  Lin is from Taiwan.  I remember when he was signed as an international free agent.  He was a slick-fielding shortstop and there were questions about his bat.  That has certainly proven to be true, but he does have a moderate contact-hitting ability and a good judgment of the strike zone.  I really like Lin.  I hope he continues to improve and would love to see him become a super utility guy in Boston.

Up next is a couple of inserts from this year's Diamond Kings set:
1.  2018 Diamond Kings Portraits David Ortiz.  Ortiz is one of four players to hit their 500th home run with the Red Sox.  Those four are: Jimmie Foxx, Ted Williams, Manny Ramirez, and Ortiz.

2.  2018 Diamond Kings Past and Present Bobby Doerr/Dustin Pedroia.  Boston does not have a lot of historically great second-basemen to play for the team for more than a few seasons.  Doerr and Pedroia are easily the top two second-basemen in team history.  Ranking between them is a little difficult.  Doerr's career ended prematurely due to injuries but he undoubtedly had more power.  Pedroia has had injury issues over the last few years, but is still currently going.  He is a better contact hitter.
