This is just kind of a catch-all post for a bunch of packages.
1. David Ortiz. One of my favorite parts of the offseason is seeing Ortiz torment Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez when the Yankees get eliminated. Ortiz is such a fun watch on Fox. He always seemed like a goofy, amiable guy.
2. Carl Yastrzemski. I maintain that this is one of the ugliest sets I have ever seen.
3. Rafael Devers. This is from the Bob Ross set. I still miss Devers's bat. Boston needs a bone fide slugger in the lineup next season. Unfortunately, I don't know where that is going to come from.
4. Ted Williams. Surely Williams is not squaring up to bunt in this picture, is he? It seems a bit more likely that he is just rubbing the bat, but it's not real clear. I doubt Williams bunted very often.
This was a two-card lot of Roman Anthony cards I bought together. The Topps Chrome card is cool because of the big shot of Fenway Park. Oddly, both cards feature Anthony in the new forest green City Connect uniforms. Anthony has a chance to be special.
Closing things out with a couple Ceddanne Rafaela cards, including a jersey relic and an autograph. The auto is from the Leaf Exotic set. I have been trying to get one of each animal pattern, this being the zebra pattern. I also have the alligator, deer, giraffe, clown fish and parrot. I still need the butterfly, chamelon, dragon, elephant, leopard, peacock, snake and tiger patterns.
