I have mentioned multiple times that I love opening Panini products. I just always seem to do fairly well with them. I took a chance on a blaster of Elite, a product with just 30 cards to a box and this was the result:
1. Wade Boggs. Boggs still holds the team record for hits in a season. 240 seems completely unattainable at this point in time. The last Red Sox player to notch 200 hits in a season was Rafael Devers with 201 in 2019. Ceddanne Rafaela led the team this season with 153, though he would have had more if he hadn't missed most of the last month with an injury. The second-highest hit total in Red Sox history was Tris Speaker with 222 in 1912.
2. Roman Anthony. Anthony is definitely getting bigger in my collection lately. On top of people being willing to trade his cards, I have been pulling his stuff a lot too. Hopefully he will be fully healthy next season.
