Ryan Westmoreland Retires
Red Sox prospect Ryan Westmoreland has retired. Westmoreland joins the ranks of players like Harry Agganis and Tony Conigliaro. Players with a wealth of natural talent that unfortunately were not able to realize their potential due to health issues. Of course Westmoreland is luckier than Agganis, who died due to his condition. Westmoreland will still be able to enjoy a fulfilling life and it is a testament to his personality that he has been able to look at the bright side of the whole situation. Westmoreland transcends baseball. I wish him all the luck.
