John Dopson had a very good year in 1989 at 25 years old and looked like he could develop into a fairly decent starter. Unfortunately it did not work out that way and in 1990, Dopson only pitched in four games. He pitched well in those games, he was 0-0 but had a 2.04 ERA. He did walk as many as he struck out however, and of course walks were one of his biggest issues preventing him from being a better pitcher. Injuries also derailed his career as he would only pitch in one game in 1991.
