Verdugo Road to Summer Camp

The Red Sox were bad this season.  Out of 60 games, they won just 24.  Nonetheless there were some bright spots.  The biggest one was Alex Verdugo, who was of course under a microscope because he was the primary return in the Mookie Betts trade.  Verdugo played with a lot of energy and played well.  Verdugo hit .308/.368/.478 with six home runs and 15 RBIs.  He finished sixth among position players in WAR (1.9).  He was fifth in the league in average, tenth in hits (62), third in doubles (16) and led the league in assists by an outfielder (seven).  I am excited about seeing him over a full season.
