Great Scott! (And Xander?)

Mark came through again with a single-card PWE that held this awesome card:
1.  1977 Hostess George Scott.  Yes that is a horrible airbrush job, but you can't go wrong with a vintage food-issue oddball of Boomer.  Sadly Scott died last year.

Thanks Mark!  I promise I will get something in the mail out to you soon.

After that I received a couple cards of sensation Xander Bogaerts:
2.  2013 Bowman Chrome Cream of the Crop Mini Refractor Xander Bogaerts.  This was the last card from this insert set I needed.

3.  2013 Bowman Top 100 Xander Bogaerts.

  1. Wow, I love Hostess (still have some panels myself) but that's one of the worst airbrush jobs I've seen. Looking it up I found that Scott had been with Milwaukee the year before. He was traded back to Boston with Bernie Carbo for Cecil Cooper. Long term the Brewers made out.

  2. Yes that is true. Boston got some short-term power on that deal, but Cooper definitely turned out to be the best player of the three over the long term.

  3. Wish the scott was in a little better shape but they are tough to find. He actual y had a couple of very productive years after the Sox re acquired him. Cooper was Definetly the better long term player
